His Promises Are Always Fulfilled In His Perfect Timing

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3

God's timing is perfect. Everything happens exactly when it is supposed to happen and not a minute sooner or not a minute later.

In my life God has given me promises. I am sure he has also given you promises. For instance one day while praying, shortly after marrying my husband, God spoke to my heart that my husband and I would be raptured together. That was a promise that God made to me.

This year has been a real time of testing for my husband and me. In February, after open-heart surgery, my husband contacted a flesh eating disease. By the time it was found it had already eaten his sternum, some bone and tissue. He ended up having seven operations. At one time his only kidney started to shut down. But, praise be to God, my husband shocked the doctors by living and not dying. He was in three different hospitals from February to May of 2013.

During this time I was experiencing the same fear that any other human being would be experiencing. In the middle of one sleepless night God woke me up and said to me, "Why are you worried? Didn't I PROMISE that you and Chuck would be raptured together at the same time? Therefore THIS IS NOT HIS TIME TO DIE."

It was then that I begin to understand that when God promises something to us Satan will bring all kinds of things to us that make it "appear" that our Godly promises will not come to pass. But, Beloved, that is a lie from the pits of hell. If God has promised us something, it will be done. As the Lords prayer says, " THY will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

The thing is we sometimes go through things that are so upsetting, so frustrating and so heart wrenching we tend to forget those promises.

If God has promised you something, beloved, it will happen. The key is that it will happen when it is supposed to happen and the gates of hell may rage in our lives but they will not keep God's promises for us from coming to pass.

A friend of ours had prayed and asked God for a Christian wife. God promised him that he would have a Christian wife. Time passed and the man began to lose faith in the promise of God. He married a non-believer who Satan had brought to temp him with at a weak moment. The marriage was very unhappy and the woman one day walked out of the house and filed for divorce. Our friend was heartbroken, but relieved to be free of the constant upheaval.  He was in church a year or so later and spotted a beautiful young woman with her hands raised praising the Lord. Long story short, the TIME WAS RIGHT and this turned out to be the woman God promised Him. This was his Christian wife. Now, it was not God's fault that the man had a disastrous first marriage. It was the man's fault for getting inpatient and not waiting for God's perfect timing and perfect will. Praise be to God, He still fulfilled the promise He had given the man.

Jesus taught the importance of timing and waiting for the perfect time when He said in John 7:6 "My time has not come" He mentioned it also at the wedding where he turned water into wine. It was not His time for miracles but out of respect for His mother He did as she asked. In John 2:1-25 we read this; "On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” ...

So no matter what we go through, no matter how bad it looks in the natural, if God has given us a promise we will see that promise come to pass in God's perfect timing.

It was God's promises that I held on to when it looked like my husband was dying. It is God's promises, Beloved, which you have to hold on to today too. You may think that things are not going to change for you, or that you situation is impossible. I ask you to remember that God has promised you that He is with you always and that He has a perfect plan for your life. This is not the day or the hour to give up on God. What He says He will do, He does!

There is a time in every life of sowing seeds, and then there is a waiting period while the seeds are growing but evidentially, when the time is right, the harvest on those seeds will be reaped.

It's not about "IF" God will do it for you. It's all about WHEN!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
