Developing Mustard Seed Faith

We Need To Become As A Little Child. Faith Moves Mountains Of Difficulties Every Day! It's Time To Trust Daddy God As A Little Child Does!

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord" Isaiah 55v8

When we, the children of God, have a problem and take it to God in prayer we have a tendency to tell God how we think the prayer should be answered. We often don't want to trust the wisdom and ingenuity of God.

The bible says that God's ways are mysterious. Our ways are not mysterious.  This is why, in my way of thinking, it is best to pray and then let it go. Let God figure out the best way to bring your miracle about.

Jesus said, "When ye pray, believe that you have it" I can't think of anything more direct then that statement. Why then don't we take God at His word?

When we have a problem that we bring to the Lord we need to come into agreement with what God says and speak those words over the problem. I can't find in my bible where God ever said, "You are not smart enough for Me to answer your prayer." Or "You are not educated enough for Me to get you that job." Or "You are poor, you always have been and you always will be." If you can find a scripture like that send it to me.

On the contrary, Jesus said, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain "Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you." Matthew 17v20

Most people will tell you that they have perfect faith in God to answer their prayer. I have found, though, that they want to know how God is going to do it and why isn't it coming on their timetable. The answer is that Gods ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. In other words, we need to believe that God is bigger then we are, that there is no obstacle too big for Him. We limit God, too often, with our little thinking.

I remember as a child I wanted a beautiful, Madame Alexander brand, Queen Elizabeth doll that I had seen in a toy store. I showed it to my mother and told her "Isn't she the most beautiful doll that you have ever seen?" My mother replied, "We will have to ask Santa Claus for that doll for you for Christmas." I had punched my ticket, so to speak. I was a very, very good little girl. I, therefore, did not toss and turn each night before Christmas wondering how and where the doll would be bought. I didn't worry what it cost. I just believed that the doll would be mine and I rested in that. I jumped out of bed on Christmas morning and ran to pick up that beautiful doll that was my hearts desire. We are told to become as a little child if we would enter the kingdom of God. A little child trusts and doesn't worry.

If we would develop the expectancy of little children we would wait joyfully while God was bringing about the answer to our prayers.

The Christians of old had that kind of faith. The kind of miracle believing faith that would move mountains. Today we have come away from our roots and, in my opinion; we have adopted the unbelieving talk of the world.

It's often difficult, when a person becomes a Christian, to follow the faith walk. That person may be used to "reasoning" in his mind. I think, to a degree, we were all like that when we were first saved.

Some people that cross my path are shocked at my unswerving faith in God's ability to create a miracle, regardless of the circumstances. I have developed that faith because of all the miracles I have seen God do in my life. You can read about miracles, that's all fine and good, but when God does a miracle in your own life you become a believer in miracles.

When we are having trouble building up our faith it helps to look back at other miracles we have experienced or read the miracles others have had in their own lives.

Father, in this time of many troubles all around your people, restore their faith! I come into agreement with anyone reading this today for their miracle. Father, help us to believe in your answers no matter what the situation looks like in the natural. Help us to speak to others the following.. "I know no matter how bad this looks my God is on the scene and with Him by my side all things are possible."
