Are You On The Threshing Floor Today?

He Is God; We Must Be Still And Listen To What He Is Trying To Teach Us!

The threshing floor in the bible is symbolic for purification. When you begin your threshing floor experience you may feel as if you have been through so much you can’t go on.  You may be at a point where you are on your knees crying out to God to rescue you. You probably want this time of trial in your life to just end. You are at a crossroads with God and it’s either go on with Him or go back into the world. As you raise your hands to God and surrender all to Him a beautiful thing is about to happen in your life. You are going to experience the end of sitting on the threshing floor and waiting. You are being prepared to enter the Holy Of Holies and God is going to meet you there and you will walk in supernatural intimacy with God that you have only dreamed of prior to this day.

So many people today are going through some of the hardest times they have ever known. Things that they have built a lifetime around have been snatched from them. They don’t understand and none of us ever understands why trials and tribulations come. One thing is for sure, if you can hold on tighter then ever to God and press into him tightly you’re life will never be the same.

As hard as it is this is the time to say to God, just as Job did, that you don’t understand why this has happened but nevertheless you still intend to lift your hands and praise His name.

This is the time to go into your prayer closet with God and take a good look at your life so far. What is the one thing that you have been having a hard time giving to God?  Is it your attitude? Is it your critical tongue, gossiping, drugs, drinking, sex addiction? What ever it is this is when the time is ripe for God to begin to thresh it out of your life. It may be the last stronghold that satan has over your soul.  God is going to thresh out that “thing” and He is going to keep threshing until He separates you “the wheat” from the “chaff” of sin.

In the book of Ruth, Boaz is a symbol of our relationship with God. Ruth and Naomi are desperate. Naomi has no sons left and only her daughter in law, Ruth, the widow of one of her dead sons is with her.  In her mind all hope is gone. But in Ruth 3:2 Naomi tells Ruth “Is not Boaz, whose young women you were (working) with, a kinsman of ours?  Tonight he will be winnowing barley on the threshing floor.” Naomi sees Boaz as their last hope.  This is symbolic of our threshing floor experience with God. We surrender all to Him, because without Him we have no other hope.

The threshing floor experience is not pleasant but looking back on it, it is the one time in my life that I realized that He was all I needed.  I could relax and be happy within the intimate relationship established between Daddy God and me.  In that intimacy with the Lord a quiet trust grew.  I know that through whatever storms my life might bring I have a safe harbor to rest in with the Lord.

We know that after wheat goes through the threshing process it is then ready to be used.  This is the way it is with us.  After going through this process we pass through to another level with the Lord. Now being ready for His purposes we can minister to others who find themselves on the threshing floor.  If you are going through the threshing process today you are blessed.  You see, the Father loves you so much that He wants to spend quality time with you.  He wants to use this time to separate the wheat from the chaff in your life because He has something for you to do. He sees that you are worthy of taking time with because He knows what He has planned for the end product of your life. Hallelujah to His Name.
